CreekFest 2025
Bringing people to the mouth of Schneider Creek for a celebratory, watershed-focused bridge party
When: Saturday, Sept. 13, 11am–4pm

Held alongside Homer Watson House & Gallery’s Art Fair.


CreekFest is an art and environment festival that brings people of all ages to Lower Doon, where Schneider Creek meets the Grand River. 

We’re closing down Old Mill Rd. bridge for a block party, running a CreekFest painting activity in the park, and sharing musical acts with the Art Fair up the hill at the Homer Watson House & Gallery. 

  • Aerial and ground dance performances by Erika Lui
  • Kid’s bike and scooter riding & decorating
  • Free face painting, baseball, lawn games, & playground
  • Musical acts by Kaleo and Jesse Thomas
  • Watershed readings by poet and essayist Tanis MacDonald and 2024-2025 City of Kitchener artist-in-residence Ellie Anglin
  • Info and activity tents by various arts and environmental organizations
